Southwestern Michigan India Association (SMIA)

The Southwestern Michigan India Association (SMIA) is a regional non-profit organization that aims to preserve India's rich cultural heritage.SMIA achieves this by engaging the Southwestern Michigan Indian community in various programs and activities that promote Indian festivals and traditions.It encourages the participation of talented community members in the various performing arts such as dance,music and drama.It keeps the community connected,facilitates communication and helps promote goodwill among it's members.SMIA also helps to build awareness about India,it's culture and philosophy among the younger generation of Indians growing up in Southwestern Michigan.
